Q-Port Amsterdam

An office lobby with the inspiring look and feel of a boutique hotel

Office

Vision

Urban, international and open-minded, entrepreneurs from the past decade have outgrown their start-up city offices and are now looking for alternative and affordable accommodation outside but close enough to the centre of Amsterdam. By offering a combination of city amenities and an urban look and feel, we have made this switch appealing for them. The new lobby is now an interface between local companies, passengers and new tenants.

Approach

As soon as you enter the revamped lobby you’ll see the straight, industrially proportioned bar that adjoins the reception desk. Crafted in white marble and blue steel, the bourgeois and urban look handsomely reflects the lifestyle of the building’s tenants. An area to relax is furnished with iconic mid-century creations of Børge Mogensen, George Nelson and Hans Wegener, while a cluster of meeting rooms is screened by lush greenery, a trendy bar and a place to grab some lunch. All these elements complement the office spaces that are occupied by the building’s tenants. In its new guise, the lobby features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer excellent vistas across this up-and-coming new urban district. Furthermore, atmospheric lighting enhances the ambiance of the lobby.
